Orthodontics/Braces

What type of braces are available?

Surrey Dental Surgery use a number of different braces to straighten and align teeth. We offer Invisalign, Clear Correct, Six Month Smiles and Inman Aligner.

Invisalign and Clear Correct are both near invisible aligners and are removable for when you need to eat and brush your teeth. Because the aligners are near invisible, our brace treatments will not look unsightly in the mouth and you'll be able to smile confidently.

First, the dentist will take an impression of your teeth with a mould. This mould is used in a lab to make the aligner fit to your teeth. The dentist will then give you your set of aligners, which are changed every 2 weeks to move your teeth in the desired way.

The dentist will make several appointments spaced out to give you new aligners. These aligners can straighten teeth, fill in gaps or can fix bites such as open bites, deep bites, under bites and cross bites.

Inman Aligner is an alternative to invisible braces and you only need one appliance, which is removable. The aligner consists of a coil spring that goes across the front of the teeth and one behind the teeth. These gently oppose each other to straighten your smile. The dentist will see you every 4 weeks to adjust the aligner to fit, and achieve the desired results.

Six Month Smiles is a fixed brace which is white in colour so it is less visible than a metal brace. The treatment is 6-9 months on average. The dentist will see you every 4 weeks to adjust the brace to achieve the desired results.
